Hi there, I'm Solar! I'm an animator/Illustrator who draws for fun and sometimes posts it.I've been drawing since I was able to hold a crayon, and started doing digital art in MS paint in 2009. From there I taught myself and improved on my own until I got to university and graduated with a BFA in Animation. Now, I spend most of my free time working on my personal projects with my ocs, with some occasional fan art. I draw lots of different things, so if you're interested don't be afraid to check out my work, or even just say hi!

Q: Do you allow reposts?
A: I allow reposts of fanart only and only to websites/platforms that I do not post my art to.If you repost my work, you must credit me by either:
1) Placing my username (@SolarRoseArt) the TITLE or FIRST LINE of the description along with one of my active platforms
(EX: @/SolarRoseArt on bsky/tumblr)
2) Add a direct link back to my original post in the FIRST LINE of the description.(EX: Original by @/SolarRoseArt on bsky/tumblr [Link to the post] )You may not alter/edit any of my work under any circumstances, including but not limited to removing my watermark or signature.Q: Do you allow dubs of your comics?
A: Yes! You can dub my comics as long as you credit me with at least one of the ways described above. And please do not crop or edit out my signature. I'd love it if you mention me / send me a message when its up!Q: Do you take art requests?
A: I take art prompt requests over on my tumblr blog, but these are only if I have the time/energy to do them. So don't be surprised if it takes me a long time to get to it or I don't get to it at all. And please don't request for me to draw your original stories or characters, especially if I do not know you. Art prompts should be centered around shared interests!
If you would like a custom piece of art, you should commission me when I'm accepting those.Q: What tools do you use?
A: I use Adobe Photoshop (the crowd boos) and a Wacom Cintiq 16 (the crowd boos harder)
I do use CSP and Procreate from time to time but neither fully provide the tools/customization I need to make art comfortable for me.
